A Note about Membership Classifications
As a consensus standards organization, TNI requires its members to be classified to ensure balance. When you join TNI, you need to classify yourself into one of these three membership types:
- Accreditation Body: You work for an organization that accredits laboratories or field sampling and measurement organizations.
- Laboratory: You work for an organization that is or may become accredited for performing environmental sampling or testing.
- Other: You are not in any of the first two categories. This category includes government agencies that do not operate accreditation programs, PT providers, consultants, instrument manufacturers, attorneys, etc.
