Over 400 attendees enjoyed the Riverwalk, while working on a number of issues related to environmental laboratory accreditation. TNI committees held public meetings during the week. In addition, a number of special sessions were held, including an assessment forum, a keynote presentation, and two mentoring sessions. The 2009 winter meeting of The NELAC Institute (TNI) occurred in Miami, Florida from January 12-15, 2009. Over 250 attendees enjoyed the warm weather of southern Florida, while working on a number of issues related to environmental laboratory accreditation. Sixteen TNI committees held public meetings during the week. In addition, a number of special sessions were held, including a session on the DMRQA program, an assessment forum, two keynote presentations, two mentoring sessions, and one general session. The summer 2008 Forum on Laboratory Accreditation had 475 attendees. This meeting was the second combined meeting of the Forum with the National Environmental Monitoring Conference (NEMC). The technical presentations from the NEMC meeting can be found at www.nemc.us. The conference featured a keynote presentation on the future of the laboratory accreditation.
Fourteen TNI committees held public meetings during the week. In addition, a number of special sessions were held, including an assessment forum and a mentoring session. Minutes from the committee meetings are contained in the minutes from those committees.
The 2008 winter meeting of The NELAC Institute (TNI) occurred in Newport Beach, California from January 14-17, 2008. Over 200 attendees enjoyed the warm weather of southern California, while working on a number of issues related to environmental laboratory accreditation. Updates of the key programs of TNI were provided in general sessions held throughout the week. In addition, TNI Chair Judy Duncan provided an update on the TNI strategic planning effort.
Sixteen TNI committees held public meetings during the week. In addition, a number of special sessions were held, including a session on air proficiency testing (PT), an assessment forum, and a mentoring session. On January 18, the TNI Board of Directors and Committee Chairs met in a public meeting to continue the work on the TNI strategic plan. As a result of this effort, a draft operational plan was written during the meeting. Over the next few months, this plan will be finalized and made available to TNI members.

The Forum on Laboratory Accreditation held in Denver from January 28 through February 2, 2007 was a productive meeting with close to 250 attendees. This meeting was the first meeting since INELA and NELAC decided to combine operations in November, 2006.� The highlight of the meeting was the extensive working sessions of the new TNI committees.� The meeting opened with a recognition of everyone in attendance who had served on a committee in either of the two previous organizations.� The meeting also featured the debut of two events that were highly attended and well received, the Assessment forum and a Mentoring Session.
